DroidLume is distributed through the Mac App Store and licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). These terms supplement the product-use, support, and subscription arrangements.
1. Product and license
DroidLume is desktop software for creating and running local Android virtual devices on macOS. The app is licensed, not sold. Your use is also subject to applicable Apple Media Services Terms, App Store Usage Rules, and mandatory consumer-protection laws.
2. Your content and responsibilities
You retain your rights in imported APKs, virtual disks, configuration, and other content. You are responsible for having the right to obtain, import, and run the software and for following its licenses, service terms, and applicable law.
Third-party apps and services inside a virtual device are provided by their respective developers. DroidLume does not represent them or control their content, availability, account systems, or data practices.
3. Subscriptions
- The purchase screen displays the actual price, currency, trial eligibility, and term for monthly and annual Personal subscriptions.
- Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it through Apple. After cancellation, paid access generally continues to the end of the current billing period, subject to the status Apple displays.
- A free trial, when offered, converts to a paid subscription as shown on the purchase screen and under Apple’s terms. Manage it through Apple before the trial ends.
- Use Restore Purchases in DroidLume, or view and manage the subscription in your Mac App Store account settings.
See Apple’s subscription cancellation instructions. Apple handles refund requests and eligibility under its policies.
4. Local data, backups, and permissions
VMs, AVDs, APKs, settings, and runtime logs stay on your Mac by default. You are responsible for any backups you need and for checking before deleting a virtual device, the app, or its data. Camera and microphone bridging works only when you enable it and grant macOS permission; a guest app’s use of bridged data remains subject to that app’s terms.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use DroidLume to infringe rights, interfere with devices or services, distribute malware, or evade rules that apply to third-party software and services you use. You are responsible for activity within your virtual devices and for imported content.
6. Availability, updates, and support
System versions, virtualization capabilities, third-party app compatibility, and network services can change. Updates may revise features, system requirements, or compatibility. We provide product support at support@talkape.net, but do not promise that any particular third-party Android app will always remain available.
7. Warranty, liability, and controlling terms
The warranty, limitation of liability, termination, external-services, and governing-law provisions in Apple’s Standard EULA apply to DroidLume. These terms do not limit non-waivable consumer rights under local law. If these terms conflict with Apple’s Standard EULA or mandatory law, those controlling requirements apply.
8. Open-source components
DroidLume includes components provided under their respective open-source licenses. License texts, corresponding source, and checksums are available on the open-source licenses page. These terms do not restrict rights preserved by those licenses, including rights expressly preserved by the LGPL for debugging modifications.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms for product, subscription, or legal changes and will revise the date on this page. Questions: support@talkape.net.
