This policy describes data handling by the DroidLume macOS app itself. Android apps you install in a virtual device are independent third-party products governed by their own privacy policies.
1. Core approach
DroidLume is local-first. VM images, AVD configuration, imported APKs, app settings, and runtime logs stay in DroidLume’s app container on your Mac by default. DroidLume currently operates no proprietary user-account, advertising, or cross-app tracking service.
2. Purchases and subscriptions
Apple processes subscription purchases, payments, renewals, refund eligibility, and payment methods through the App Store and StoreKit. DroidLume does not receive or store your full payment-card number.
To determine feature access, the app reads product identifiers, verified transaction results, subscription status, and expiration information from StoreKit. Apple processes data associated with your Apple Account and payments under Apple’s privacy terms.
3. Local virtual-device data
- VM and AVD data: system images, virtual disks, snapshots, and configuration stay in the app container.
- APKs: an APK you choose to import is copied into the local container and may be installed in the virtual device.
- Diagnostics: runtime logs stay local to help troubleshoot startup and device issues; you can review them before sending anything to support.
DroidLume moves selected content outside the local container only when you export, share, or send support information.
4. Camera and microphone
Camera and microphone bridging runs only after you turn on the relevant feature and grant the macOS system permission. DroidLume uses the live input to provide the bridge you requested and does not upload that audio or video to a DroidLume server.
A third-party Android app inside the virtual device may process or transmit this data for its own features. Review that app’s permission disclosures and privacy policy before enabling access. You can revoke DroidLume’s camera or microphone access in macOS System Settings.
5. Network access and third-party apps
The virtual device and its Android apps may access the network in response to your actions. Third-party apps may collect device details, account information, content, or network identifiers; those practices are controlled by the third party and are not DroidLume data collection. Apple may also process App Store download, purchase, crash-diagnostic, or store-analytics data.
6. Support website
When you visit this support site, the hosting server processes standard request details such as IP address, request time, requested path, browser identifier, and response status for security, troubleshooting, and basic access logs. The server security layer may set an essential cookie named server_name_session for up to 24 hours. This site uses no advertising or third-party analytics scripts.
7. Support email
When you contact support@talkape.net, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you choose to provide. We use them to respond, troubleshoot, and retain necessary support records. Do not send passwords, verification codes, or payment-card information.
8. Retention, security, and choices
You control how long local data remains through your management of the app, virtual devices, and exported files. You may delete a virtual device in DroidLume or uninstall the app and remove its container using macOS. Support-site logs and email are retained only as needed for security, to resolve the request, and to maintain necessary business records.
You may leave camera and microphone bridging disabled and change permissions at any time in macOS System Settings. Manage subscriptions from your Mac App Store account settings.
9. Children, changes, and contact
DroidLume is not directed to children and does not intentionally collect children’s personal information through a proprietary service. We may update this policy for product, legal, or Apple platform changes and will revise the date on this page.
